Announcing Intersect’s Constitutional Council - our member-led seat on the interim Constitutional Committee
The interim Constitutional Committee (interim CC) is here! Last week we announced the results of the community-wide vote to elect three community members to the interim CC. They will sit alongside pioneer entities Input Output Global, the Cardano Foundation, and EMURGO, and also Intersect, all on a 73-epoch (one year) term from the date of the Chang upgrade.
Introducing Intersect’s Constitutional Council
As a member-based organization for the Cardano ecosystem, Intersect’s core pillars are to support Cardano’s on-chain governance, to create a future product roadmap, and annual Cardano budget process. Intersect’s supporting role with Cardano’s on-chain governance includes the DRep Pioneer Program, co-ordinating the Chang upgrades, and providing constitutional support to the interim CC.
While the community was busy voting for its representatives on the interim CC, Intersect put together a plan to run its seat as a member-led council - the Intersect Constitutional Council.
Meet the Council
We received 32 applications from around the community to form the council, and after evaluating with members and Intersect staff, we are delighted to announce the 10 members appointed to the council:
- Mauro Agustin Andreoli
- Mercy Fordwoo
- Jose Miguel De Gamboa
- Eystein Magnus Hansen
- Ian Hartwell
- Hosky
- Ubio Obu
- Nicodemus Rodriguez
- Adam Rusch
- Juan Sierra
Our sincere thanks to all those who applied and played an important role in the ongoing Cardano governance journey. We hope to continue engaging with you on the constitutional journey. In the meantime, we look forward to working with the council and wider interim CC over the coming months.
What’s next?
We are in the process of finalizing the 50 global workshops, which will begin in August. We hope as many of you as possible have your say on the drafting of the final Constitution. See the latest workshop locations and dates here.
