Join the second Developer Advocate Cohort and empower the Cardano ecosystem!

Are you a passionate developer looking to make a significant impact within the Cardano ecosystem? Do you thrive on fostering community, sharing knowledge, and driving innovation? Intersect's Open Source Office (OSO) is excited to announce the launch of applications for its second Cohort of Developer Advocates!
The Developer Advocate Program (DAP) is a strategic initiative by Intersect, a member-based organization within the Cardano ecosystem. It is designed to empower and incentivize developers. As a Developer Advocate, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Cardano by bridging the gap between developers and Intersect, fostering a vibrant community, and enhancing the overall developer experience.
What does a Developer Advocate do?
As a developer Advocate, you are not just a technical liaison but a champion of the needs of developers. Your role is significant, and your contributions are invaluable. You will:
- Incentivize participation. By actively engaging in working groups, attending bi-monthly meetings, and contributing to core development, you'll motivate other developers to get involved. Compensation will be provided every 14 days.
- Support onboarding. You'll play a crucial role in helping new developers navigate the Cardano ecosystem. Your workshops, educational resources, and mentorship will be a beacon of support for them.
- Engage the community. Connect with the developer community through various channels, offering support, answering questions, and promoting collaboration among all skill levels.
- Provide feedback and improvement. Gather insights from the developer community and relay them to the OSO and relevant stakeholders such as the Open Source Committee (OSC) to improve processes, tools, and documentation.
- Contribute to the developer experience repository. Your regular contributions to this repository, in the form of examples and tests, are not just a showcase of your skills, but a valuable resource for new developers. This repository is designed to allow developers to showcase their skills while also serving as a playground for new developers to get up to speed with developing on Cardano.
Our 2025-26 goals for Developer Advocates include:
- Deepen strategic collaborations. Help form partnerships with Web3 projects and organizations, especially those supporting Cardano.
- Implement diversity and inclusion programs. Utilize your local and global network to grow the developer base for Core Cardano and projects built on it.
- Expand the ecosystem with new projects. Engage with new projects and assist them in building on Cardano, connecting them with OSO Project Support Services.
- Foster innovation and technology advancement. Stay updated with new technologies and look for ways to innovate development processes to improve the developer experience.
- Build a global community. Become a focal point for Cardano community members in your local area. Also, remain accessible for those who may only have a virtual connection.
- Mature the developer experience repository. Enhance this vital resource for developers.
