The Road to the Constitutional Convention: Cruising by the Halfway Point
This summer’s themes are collaboration and progress for Cardano’s governance future. For months, the Cardano community has been deeply involved in a series of global Constitutional Workshops to develop a sensible and inclusive final Constitution. We recently reached the halfway point of this global initiative—a considerable milestone and testament to the community’s ongoing commitment and enthusiasm.
With over 60 global workshops and more than 700 registrants across six continents, these workshops provide a platform for community members to help shape Cardano’s future governing principles through an inclusive and collaborative process that embraces perspectives across Cardano’s global ecosystem.
Organized by the Cardano Civics Committee within Intersect, these workshops have captured diverse perspectives from community members worldwide. So far, we have received a significant amount of input from the community, and this feedback has highlighted some clear trends on specific topics while showcasing a wide diversity of perspectives on others. It has been encouraging to see such active engagement across various issues.
Additionally, the workshops have proven to be effective not only as a platform for gathering feedback but also as an educational tool. They have helped the community better understand Cardano’s on-chain governance and the constitution's role, fostering a more informed and engaged group of participants. As the series continues, your collective feedback will inform a constitution that the Cardano ecosystem can proudly support.
At this halfway point, let’s keep the excitement and engagement high as we approach the Cardano Constitutional Convention this December in Buenos Aires. There is still time to register for an upcoming workshop, so don’t miss your opportunity to help shape a constitutional framework representing your interests and those of the Cardano community!
