Members, read all about how and why to make your vote count

The second Intersect committee election is happening soon. To vote, you must join before noon UTC on Friday, April 11, 2025. Voting will be open from noon UTC on April 16, 2025 until noon UTC on May 7, 2025.

Why your vote is important

The pioneer entities of Cardano – EMURGO, Input | Output, and the Cardano Foundation – have relinquished the genesis keys of the blockchain, handing a more mature governance system to the community. Now, the community must take up the challenge and take Cardano to the next level, which means you must get involved.

Someone must run GitHub, manage vendor contracts, coordinate contributors, and ensure compliance with global law.

These off-chain elements are where Intersect fits in. Becoming an Intersect member offers many opportunities to be involved in framing and maturing Cardano’s governance, much of which happens off-chain. 

To join, go to the Intersect signup page and follow the prompts. It’s that simple. You can join any time, but remember that to vote in the next elections, you must register before noon on Friday, April 11.

Voting

To vote after April 16, go to the members’ dashboard to click the ‘Voting’ option in the left-hand menu or select ‘Participate in voting’ on the top right-hand card. 

Next, click the ‘Open’ tab to see the list of committees:

Click ‘View details and vote’:

Browse through the profiles and choose the individuals you believe are the best fit for the committee. To learn more about each candidate, click ‘Read more’. This will show you their full application and background information to help you make an informed decision.

Once you've reviewed the candidates and decided, click the ‘Vote’ button next to each one you'd like to support.

Each committee has a specific number of voting seats available, and you can select up to that number of candidates. For example, if a committee has five open seats, you can vote for up to five candidates.

Keep an eye on the key dates

At the top of the page, you’ll find all the important election dates:

• Application period: March 24, 2025 – April 11, 2025 (12:00 noon UTC)
• Voting period: April 16, 2025 – May 7, 2025 (12:00 noon UTC)
• Results announced: May 12, 2025 (12:00 noon UTC)
